  for me, the word was "loving".. great "loving" kindness.. great undeserved "loving" kindness!.

  disfellowshipping is a "loving" provision.. when the wtbts want their accolytes to swallow another bitter pill, another restriction, another rebuke, another demand on time, the buzz word is "loving".. the "loving" word, is, to the average jw, the same as the mccabe nod is to the salesman.

  the mccabe nod is used by salesman all the time to get the prospective customer to agree to something that he doesn't care for too much.

  I HATE the sentence that begins with...'WHY; blah, blah, blah,then finishes with an exclaimation mark !As if they thought we all spoke that way and would answer 'WHY, of course!'with a happy sickly smug smile at our spiritual understanding.

  Gossip: Crit and Kelly Van Tuyl DFd

  crit and kelly (kats) van tuyl were disfellowshipped last weekend.

  they met on witnesses.net and married shortly thereafter.

  very well known in the jw internet community and moderators of online friends network.. as some of you know crit was my archenemy for a long time and worked tirelessly to expose me for the apostate that i am!

  oh focus; you dont know how close to the truth you were with the toilet thing! a few years ago at a convention we were told on entry to the loo...
  only flush if you HAVE to sisters; and part way through your flow there would be a BANG on the door asking if youd FINISHED yet111 Bloody rude! and as i was getting BANGED(not literally you understand)MORE AND MORE I COULDNT PEE....the peeing petrol sister nearly hyperventilated as she couldnt keep her queue equal to sister 2 .Inearly died laughing on the way out.BLOODY MAD ,ALL OF THEM!!!!!

  Giving Up Smoking

  i'm giving up smoking on the 22nd.

  it will be the third time, but this time as part of a government sponsored training course with drugs and patches supplied etc.

  anyone else given up and got any helpfull advise?.

  2.get pissed
  3.get depressed
  4.break up with anyone
  5.do all above at the same time

  I'M 3 YEARS and not doing badly;i run now too...you cant run and smoke,it tends to interfere with the breathing process! and running gives a GOOD endorphin buzz,good luckxxx

  it's hard to beleive that one or two small-minded men in the service dept.

  could be responsible for thousands of medical emergencies going bad or even death.

  thanks for all the info on this-it's been very useful to me and others around me.Perhaps it would be a nice touch to print out this thread and send it to mr.jenson; he appears to be a very genuine kind of person and may gain some extra support knowing that others were so anxious about the same issues they have been discussing his opinions...He must feel pretty lonely at present

  Darn Smurfs

  any one remember the smurfs; especially that evil papa smurf?.

  the cong i attended even gave a talk about their evilness.. roumor was one even animated itself [little plastic figure] inside the k-hall.. this led to my sister having to get rid of her smurf collection.. i'd have to say though at that time it made me happy ;being she .

  got 2-3 new smurfs every week, and they woldn't even ever buy me a hotwheels car

  a friend of mine used to tell anyone who called she was a witch.i used to hear others talking about her, they would'nt call on ANYONE who said it and it kind of caught on!!!If everyone knew this it would'nt take long ;soon they would'nt be allowed to call on anyone.Then they'd just stop calling and think armageddon was SO closethey get all excited; then i recon we'd see some great entertainment!

  I Don't Sympathise With Suicides

  let me explain.. firstly i have seen any number of so-called attempted suicides.

  i've walked past an old girl friends house, seen her watching tv through the window, by the time i'm knocking on the door she's told me that she had her head in the gas oven and my knock stopped her.. my mother in law walks into the sea for a pastime.

  every time she can't get her own way she walks in up to her knees and waits for someone to see her.

  No; i'm not on a psycology course... just trying to offer a little something to someone,regardless of whether they 'use' me or not,what the hell does it hurt me to give up a little time?am i so important that i can't spare it; just in case it's a genuine need,i never said i was good at it or claiming to be a help to anyone; just trying to make someone feel better.that's why we're here is'nt it?   Suicide and This and That .....

  how many of you have really gone through suicidal feelings, when you felt that no-one at all was out there to try to assist you?

  did it help you to be told by so called friends, 'just pull your socks up!

  ' did you feel that such admonition was really daft and stupidly uncaring?

  Suicide; i have had experience of it with others many times;usually due to childhood experiences.To feel the need to end your life is quite often simply the way a human will deal with a situation or psycological trauma that is simply too much for that individual to cope with; hence, shut down to protect the brain from any more.My brother pulled himself back also three friends.When the shut down reaction occurs it can only be halted if the person can find a way out.Sometimes a board like this could help; but as we are only untrained friends perhaps whilst offering support unconditionally and speedily; we should also have a SAMARITIANS phone no. on every header,as i do feel the sound of a soothing human voice so much more calming than words on a screen. Also, it's such a horrendous feeling to see a poster talking suicide; it panics me , but as i said im untrained and may say the wrong thing...perhaps we could have a perminant piece on the board ;clearly marked so that suicidal posters can go to it and read where to go; what to do;but it'd have to be written by profs... i can ask a friend whos a samaritains councellor or another who's a doc to write an appropriate piece; though i'd neen help to get it on the board in the right place! Or failing all that if you all think they're crappy suggestions... if its a uk poster i'll meet them with someone prof. if they want; just can't bear to think someone could be that low with no one.
